It will also help to prevent power steering squeals and chatter and protect against pump breakdown caused by wear, foaming & oxidation. Power Steering Fluid can be used as a top up for the system where a manufacturer recommends this fluid. Not suitable for vehicles where a central hydraulic fluid is required.
