There is silver button on the heel of the staghorn this is dented and the Swaine stamp is not visible. It has a silver collar which is stamped "Swaine" and hallmarked London 1909. The collar is engraved "E. S. Montefiore, Zeals House, Wilts" (Elijah Sebag Montefiore) . There are dents in the collar from opening gates. The stock or shaft is covered in brown braided thread.
