Pair of US Military Spurs - Whitehorse Lecompte - Spur517 bridle Joseph Cockshoot started a coachbuildingA pair of early 20th Century silver coloured spurs made of nickel. These spurs have fairly long necks with bulbous ends. Both ends have worn flat on their lower surfaces. The arms of the heel bands have studs and buckles for the attachment of straps. One is stamped "US & WL" inside its heel band, although this stamp is rubbed, any stamp on the other spur has worn away. Whitehorse Lecompte made spurs and other equipment for the US government during WWI
