She moved to Bute in 1999, which provided inspiring views that still influence her work even though she has returned to Glasgow. Ruth works predominantly in Acrylics, tending to mix her palette as she works on the canvas. Her paintings are contemporary land and seascapes, favouring dramatic skies.
