Bass and drums played by real human hands help to buoy the chill girl harmonies and bouncy, buzzy synth layers from the dancefloor up towards the atmosphere. There's a dearth of big, memorable choruses that may be intentional otherwise the album displays songwriting chops and variety inside its narrowly defined lane. Cold, intimate, plugged in, and
