Satoh Kuro Sweet Potato Shochu (BTL 750ml) Beninanko Umeshu tearing up old European paintingsWe are giddy to announce the arrival of Satoh Shuzo's internationally acclaimed shochu, Satoh Kuro. This shochu uses a 2: 3 ratio of koji rice to sweet potatoes, much higher than the 1: 5 typically found in most Satsuma shochu (shochu distilled in Kagoshima prefecture from locally grown sweet potatoes), and it shows! This shochu is rich, bodacious, and endlessly complex. Aromas of assam tea and black currant give way to fudge ripple, chaga mushroom,
