Victorian Ladies Sidesaddle Riding Whip or Crop with Horse Head Cap - w1787 feb25 Weight 372g (13 oz)This very fine whip has a silver coloured cap and collar with foliate decoration. There is a blank oval cartouche for engraving on both the cap and collar. There is a finely cast horse's head on the top of the capBetween the cap and collar, the grip is covered in tan leather with a finely stitched seam. The long slim shaft is covered in dark brown braided threadThe whip has lost the silk lash at its end, this could be replaced. Dimensions : Length 28"
