The world was amazed when in 1968, the good old mass production folk at Ford produced their own stunning supercar the GT40. It looked like nothing that had come before. It looked like the cars that you draw on your pencil case sitting up the back during maths. Ron Bradshaw from Fords design team sketched up the shape in his spare time, and worked with UK coach builder Robert Peel to fabricate the spaceship aluminium body.
