Authentic Protector Lamp Type 1A. Stamped and badged with makers mark. Originally designed for the GPO (General Post Office), the predecessor to BT (British Telecom), these lamps were used extensively from the 1960s through to the late 1990s, to test for oxygen deficiency in tunnels, ducts, and underground manholes. This version has the Telecom logo on the reverse.
