Daniel that Grover Cleveland would be the next president of the United States. Clerk Moses Abraham Cohen Jr. acted as witness for the wager. On November 4th, Cleveland won 219 electoral votes, becoming the 22nd president. Mr. Thomas presumably won a $6 hat from Mr. Daniel. Mr. Daniel is buried at Laurel Grove
