the Royal Doulton “Frost Pine” D6450 pattern was unusual in that it had a misty grey background on which white pine needles with green and brown sprigs are featured together with tiny white spots of snow/frost above the pattern on each side

The popularity of the pattern ensured its continuation until approximately the period shortly after WW2

The Moline handle design was created by Rogers, Rogers & Bro during 1847 and also utilised by Rogers, Smith & Co. in 1893. The pattern was repeated with subtle variations but later discontinued to be re created later, but only in stainless flatware versions. This antique sugar sifter spoon is silver plated.
