Vintage Pre 1950’s Set Of 6 Silver Plated Ell Ware, Sheffield, Cake Fork With Matching Server Fork – Countess Version Handle Design Collectables 2 cm Diameter of base:Ell Ware was a trade name used by a cutler in Sheffield from the early 1900s into the mid century. It appears to have been used by George Ellis & Co., Sheffield from 1905. The set consists of six identical silver plated cake forks together with a matching server fork, all crafted with a version of the Countess handle design. Each item is handle stamped Ell (L) Ware EPNS A1. All seven items are in very good second hand condition with no damages noted.
