2013 Barde-Haut, St-Emilion with mochaOne of my go to, consistently excellent St. Emilions that tends to over perform its pedigree (although it was elevated in the 2012 St. Emilion classification), Barde Hauts 2013 reveals lots of spice, red and black currant and plum notes along with good minerality in a medium bodied, modern style. There is some depth and ripeness, although it is more superficial than in top vintages. Drink it over the next 6 8 years. (RP)
