Nets at Ballydavid Original fisherman I walk my dogs hereThis silk painting was done a while back and shows a curragh, the traditional fishing boats used around the peninsula for many many years. A more modern boat lies in the foreground. This was a scene at Ballydavid Pier west of Dingle, which is still a small fishing village today although there are many more houses built in the surrounding countryside now.
