Candle Object | Clearing - Natural safe the Zodiac collectionMatthew Dowdy is a Richmond based artist with a material practice in atmospheric media. Each Candle Object starts as pure beeswax and two cotton wicks, dipped and shaped by hand without molds which means no two are the same. Clearing is the wrapped form, two tapers twisted together and scattered with intricate hand sculpted texture. More sculpture than candle, until you light it. Natural beeswax color varies slightly piece to piece. Approximately 11.
