Most cacao nibs on the market come from high yield plantation varieties grown for volume, not flavor. Ours come from the same wild native cacao trees in Peru's High Amazon Basin that we use for our ceremonial paste hand harvested by Awajn communities, sun dried, and gently crushed to preserve their natural oils, nutrients, and flavor.
