Antique Japanese Meiji Era (1868-1912) Hakari Tenbin Balance Scale Weight 1lb Chawan (22L1842*HN)This is an antique Japanese balance scale (hakari) weight dating to the Meiji Era (1868 1912). It has Japanese writing on one side and a shop logo on the other. It is bell shaped with a lanyard ring at the top to adjust up and down a pole scale. Seen in the last picture is a bar or pole scale (not included) similar to the one which would have originally been used a similar weight. Stamped in copper inlay is the official indication that this is a
