Some are grey. Only some of the pieces show the wood grain. They are great for pockets, collections, and gifts because of their soothing feeling. This lot was disappointing. Some of the stones were undercut in the tumbling process due to soft areas on the stone, so they are not smooth. For this reason I am discounting the price
